Sangha Projects

Thich Nhat Hanh teaches what is called engaged Buddhism, or taking our practice of mindfulness and compassion off our cushions and into our communities. In particular, SnowFlower members launched and provide ongoing support for two projects:

• Thich Nhat Hanh’s Love & Understanding Program helps needy children, families, and communities in Vietnam. SnowFlower Sangha raises money for this project. For more information about Love & Understanding and our work to support it, click here.
• The Coming Home project supports people who are currently in prison by providing and supporting meditation and non-violent communication instruction and practice, and by supporting released prisoners with Circles of Support and tutoring. Click here to learn more.
